In reply to your No. 1 in 6981/1907 of 28th. March, subject to the undermentioned proviso, I have now the honour on be- -half of the two Companies interested to accept the terms therein proposed.
With regard to para. 5, xiii on behalf of the Wharf
Company, I would ask for an undertaking from Government to the
effect that in event of ine depth of water in front of K.M.L. 75 being hereafter found insufficient for the Wharf Company's pruposes, permission will be granted by Government for the erection of such
temporary bamboo piers as may be found necessary, the cost of erect-
-ing such piers to be borne by the Wharf Company, but no Crown Rent
or Premium to be charged by Government.
